Not only that, but we passed two critical ballot measures protecting reproductive freedom and voting rights in our state. I’m proud to say that we're delivering since winning the majority. We quintupled a tax credit for working families, passed laws to safeguard our kids and communities from gun violence, passed anti-discrimination protections for the LGBTQ+ community, and so much more. What we’ve accomplished together is historic, but our progress is fragile. Remember, it wasn't so long ago that Donald Trump won Michigan by a mere 10,704 votes. Just four years later, in 2020, our state had one of the closest Senate races in the nation. Today, CNN calls Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat one of the ten most likely to flip. If that happens, Democrats could lose the majority and our firewall against MAGA extremism. Look, what’s happening in Michigan right now isn’t an accident. Our progress is the direct result of your grassroots energy and the hard work of leaders like Debbie Stabenow, who never stop fighting for us. I’m proud to team with Senator Stabenow to keep Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat blue in 2024. I know we can win, but we can't do this alone. We need your help. Every single dollar counts. Every single voice matters. And every single one of us plays a role in shaping Michigan's future. Stay strong, stay hopeful, and let's fight like hell together. Sincerely, Gretchen Whitmer ![]()
