ADL Meets Dozens of Visiting World Leaders

As part of the United Nations General Assembly gathering in NY, ADL staff and volunteer leaders met with dozens of visiting dignitaries, including heads of state, heads of governments and foreign ministers from around the world.
Countries ADL met with included: Argentina, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Guatemala,
Poland,
Romania, Turkey, Sweden and some Gulf countries. Among the issues discussed were the rise in global antisemitism and extremism, anti-Israel bias in the UN, hate online, threats posed by Russian’s ongoing aggression, and Iran’s malign behavior.
CEO Jonathan Greenblatt also joined a Jewish communal meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, where he raised issues of raising global antisemitism, online hate and ADL’s work with the UAE’s Manara Center.
