ACTION ALERT: Sign our digital petition: Urge universities to divest from fossil fuels → [link removed]
Friend, this may sound crazy, but it’s true: U.S. colleges and universities are bankrolling fossil fuel corporate profits.
That’s because higher education institutions invest heavily in fossil fuel companies.
Most university leaders talk the talk when it comes to the threat of climate change. They even invest billions of taxpayer and tuition money to research it. But it’s time they walk the walk.
College should not be pumping billions of dollars — including perhaps some of your own tuition money and donations — into the very companies that are the primary cause of climate change.

At a time when our health, lives, and livelihoods are on the line from record heat waves, floods, pollution, and extreme wildfires, we should be transitioning AWAY from fossil fuels rather than propping up fossil fuel billionaires with our college tuition dollars.
If we work together to weaken the influence of corporate polluters and end our reliance on fossil fuels, we can build out a clean energy economy and vibrant democracy that is just and sustainable for all.
Thanks for being with us.
