In the debate over access to hospital care, make sure your Members of Congress hear real stories from real people.

Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care

Hello,

With Capitol Hill focused on critical spending decisions, we must continue to make sure that policymakers understand the importance of hospital-based care and are hearing stories from real people - from their states and districts - speaking up about how proposed cuts to hospital-based care would impact them.

Below are some of those stories, by real people, whose lives have been saved, enriched, and changed in the care of hospitals:

"I came to the hospital in [an] ambulance, spent 4 days in ICU, the staff were very knowledgeable, incredibly kind and saved my life…I thank God for their wonderful staff!" - Debra F., Springfield, OR

“I have been [to] Holy Family in Spokane several times in the past year..the entire health care staff is great. So friendly and kind. Constantly keeping me updated on everything going on. I cannot thank everyone enough for [their] loving kindness.” - John K., Spokane, WA

“I go to Ball Memorial Hospital, IU Health. I have had 3 surgeries at this hospital and cannot say enough good things about Ball. Two surgeries were for bypass surgery and the other knee. I got excellent care all 3 times. What else can I say!” - Kathy V., Muncie, IN

These stories are just a snapshot into the way that hospitals and health systems make a difference in our communities every single day. Join us by adding your own patient story and make your voice heard.

We will continue to ensure that your stories are heard by policymakers in Congress. We are grateful to have advocates like you- your stories matter to us!

Best,

The Coalition
