Pray for the Romeike Family
By Sean Feucht
One of the under-publicized stories unfolding in America right now is the
plight of the Romeike family. For those unaware, the Romeike’s are a family of
German refugees who for the last 15 years have lived in Tennessee legally under
asylum status. The family wanted to give their children a Christian education
but were unable to because homeschooling is against German law. They fled
Germany to escape persecution. Despite their asylum status being initially
accepted, the Biden administration is seeking to have this family deported.
The Bible tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is
old, he will not depart from it." The Romeikes could not train up their
children the way they saw fit in Germany, so they came to America, a country
built on religious liberty.
If they had come here illegally and espoused anti-American rhetoric, they
would be more welcome than they are today. But by seeking to teach their
children with a Christian underpinning, and away from the tentacles of the
government, the Romeikes are bringing the full force of Joe Biden's Justice
Department on themselves.
