Friends-

As you may have seen from the email we sent yesterday (or elsewhere in the news) James Craig — the former Detroit Police Chief who claims the mantle as the most Trump-aligned potential Republican — officially jumped into the race for U.S. Senate in Michigan.

This is another big inflection point in our campaign, and here’s why:

There is no doubt that this announcement will kick off a bitter and expensive Republican primary as all of the candidates vie for the approval of Donald Trump and the hearts of the GOP base — both of whom will play a big hand in determining who the ultimate GOP candidate in this race is.

And while James Craig and former Congressman Mike Rogers, who announced last month, fight each other, we have a chance to define Elissa to Michigan voters before Republicans spend significant money on negative attack ads against us.

That means telling our own positive, affirmative story on TV, digital outlets, and kicking off a robust ground-game. If we have the resources to do it, it could be the very difference in this race.

But Elissa has never accepted corporate PAC money, which means we rely on the contributions of people chipping in what they can, when they can, to power this campaign and elect a public servant to the Senate.

Many of those donations come in response to emails like this one. And this new development presents a critical opportunity. So, we are asking:

Can you use this link to contribute $5, $10 or whatever you can afford today directly to her campaign? We are looking for a lot of donations today — especially today — in response to this race-altering news.
