Here is what you need to know about President Biden’s fight to protect and expand Social Security:
1️⃣ The Biden administration announced a MASSIVE 8.7% INCREASE to Social Security payments!
2️⃣ The GOP doubled down on their efforts to CUT Social Security benefits for MILLIONS of Americans, attempting to attach it to debt ceiling legislation.
3️⃣ President Biden refused to sign on ANY cuts and stood up to the GOP, protecting Social Security ONCE AGAIN!
4️⃣ House Republican Kevin McCarthy has threatened the formation of a commission dedicated to “investigating” potential cuts to Social Security and Medicare — and even warned that he’ll make some people “uncomfortable”!
5️⃣ And NOW Trump's far-right majority on the Supreme Court could THREATEN this critical legislation by hearing a case that would lay the groundwork to END Social Security once and for all.
Team: The Republican party and far-right radical Court is WILDLY out of step with the 81% of likely voters who say that Congress should NEVER cut Social Security and Medicare and the 93% of likely voters who believe the U.S. should increase or maintain benefits.
