Statement: Government Shutdown
Before Congress agreed to delay a federal government shutdown, PIF issued a statement urging policymakers to avoid an impasse that would jeopardize critical services for millions in immigrant families. The statement quoted PIF steering committee member organizations AAPCHO and Shriver Center, in addition to PIF director Adriana Cadena, and emphasized the responsibility of members of Congress and the Administration to effectively communicate with immigrant families in the event of a government shutdown.
