Budget 2024: Thank you for over 5000 signatures!
Our Youth Work Changes Lives open letter campaign has now closed, and in total an amazing 5,565 of you added your names to our call for a Budget 2024 that invests in youth work and young people. We’ve been sending out the open letter and it’s already appeared in nearly every local paper around the country. This wouldn’t have happened without your support – thank you!

One World Week 2023: Registration now OPEN
One World Week is back, and following on from last year’s theme, we’ll be tackling one of the biggest challenges of them all: Globalisation. The festival will take place from November 18th to 25th, online and in person.

Youth Council calls for introduction of “Culture and Media Card” in Budget 2024

Involve: No Shame Youth Mental Health
The No Shame Mental Health Project delivers a high quality, professional youth mental health activities to young Travellers aged 15 to 20 years nationally. This is done by promoting and assisting the voluntary participation of young Travellers through delivery of a range of innovative mental programmes, events and workshops. This project is funded through Rethink Irelands Headstart Fund.

Professional Youth Work in Ireland: An Occupational Study
Aidan Farrelly, a doctoral student in the Department of Applied Social Studies, Maynooth University is undertaking a research study to develop an occupational profile of youth workers in Ireland. This will explore topics such as education and training, pathways into the profession, job titles, roles and responsibilities and rewards and challenges.
