In response to my letter urging them to choose Minnesota, the United States Air Force just selected Minnesota’s 133rd Airlift Wing as a preferred location to receive eight C-130J Super Hercules transport planes.

These new planes will:

• Boost our nation’s security.
• Enhance the military’s ability to quickly respond to threats at home and abroad.
• Strengthen our local economy by solidifying the Air Force’s footprint in Minnesota.

While there’s lots of drama in DC, there are serious threats all over the world.  As a Congressman, I’m choosing to focus on dealing with those threats, no matter what the professional politicians are doing to get their sound bites on TV.
