Team, Republicans just never give up on their efforts to undermine our democracy.

→ In Wisconsin, the GOP legislature is threatening to impeach a duly-elected state supreme court justice in an effort to protect their gerrymandered majority.

→ In Alabama, Republican lawmakers openly defied the Supreme Court by refusing to enact a congressional map that doesn’t discriminate against Black voters.

→ In North Carolina, conservative lawmakers are scrambling to push through new voting restrictions and a new gerrymandered map ahead of the 2024 election.

In response to the challenges we’re facing, Attorney General Eric Holder had this to say:

“Make no mistake – the forces of gerrymandering and political manipulation are persistent, but so are we.”

Last year, our grassroots fight for fair maps helped secure what the New York Times called “the fairest House map of the last 40 years.” Now, we have an important choice to make.

(1) If we keep fighting their efforts to gerrymander, we can help secure an even fairer map ahead of a highly consequential election.

(2) But if we grow complacent and let the GOP get away with re-securing gerrymandered maps, they unfairly secure a House majority before a single ballot is even cast in 2024 by manipulating districts in their favor.
