Folks, after exchanging a few subtweets and shade that would even cause the Real Housewives of the Potomac to stir, right-wing Florida congressman Matt Gaetz filed a motion to vacate the office of the speaker, putting Kevin McCarthy on a pathway to be ousted which could leave the House of Representatives without an elected speaker. 

Andy Biggs (R-Gilbert) and Eli Crane (R-Oro Valley) are playing along with Gaetz’ rebellious and extremely unprecedented maneuver, all to gut critical safety net programs Arizona’s working families rely on. 

Republicans aren’t new to this either — as a matter of fact EVERY time a motion to vacate the office of Speaker has been filed, it’s been due to Republicans’ inability to effectively govern. And now, for the first time in our nation's history, we're left without a duly elected speaker for the House of Representatives.
