Dear John,
Long time followers of our work are likely familiar with the name Bacchus Barua.
He is our Director of Health Care studies, where he does invaluable work researching and educating Canadians on improving universal health care in Canada, including by publishing some of our most valuable papers, such as the annual Waiting Your Turn study.
I am delighted to inform you that Bacchus is the runner-up in the first annual Hunter Prize for Public Policy, focused on solving the problem of long wait times in Canada’s health-care system!
His essay is titled How we fund hospitals holds the key to health-care reform.
Please join me in congratulating Bacchus, and check out his winning essay here.
Sincerely,
Niels Veldhuis
President
