Hi Friend,

Today, No Labels’ top leaders sent an open letter ([link removed] ) to about 3,000 Democratic County chairs asking them to disavow the Democratic National Committee’s increasingly aggressive efforts to keep No Labels off the ballot in 2024. The Associated Press broke the story here. ([link removed] )

We sent this letter because the DNC is quite literally telling over 800,000 American voters – who have already signed a No Labels petition or registration – that their voice doesn’t count and has no right to be heard.

No one made these voters sign. They did it because they wanted to do so and because it is their constitutional right to do it.

The DNC, in their latest talking points, says No Labels is a “threat to our democracy.”

They’ve got it backwards. We are democracy.

Our movement is made up of ordinary people deciding they’ll make their own political choices.

No Labels doesn’t expect the DNC, or the Republican National Committee for that matter, to like what we’re doing.

They exist to protect their parties’ power, and they see No Labels as a threat.

But, in American democracy, leaders are supposed to understand that you win elections by putting forward better candidates with better ideas, not by kneecapping the competition.

Give President Joe Biden credit. In an interview this week ([link removed] ) , he said he didn’t like the potential political impact of No Labels getting on ballots but defended our “democratic right” to do so.

He’s right.

We’re still over a year out from the 2024 election and no one – absolutely no one – can say with certainty how a No Labels ticket would impact the race, when no one even knows which candidates would be on it. We’ll have more details in a few weeks on how our nomination process would work for a Unity ticket next year.

In the meantime, we’re sticking with the commitment we’ve made since the very beginning. We’ll only put forth a Unity ticket next year if we believe it has a chance to win.

We have consistently said we will not act as spoilers in the 2024 election, a commitment repeated once again today in our open letter by three of our leaders and lifelong Democrats, Sen. Joe Lieberman, Gov. Jay Nixon, and Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis, Jr.

No Labels is responding to the voices of millions of voters who so clearly want more choices and competition in 2024. And the D.C. political establishment needs to stop trying to shut these voices down.

We want to hear you roar so click here to sign up and help defend our democracy! ([link removed] )
