*WHO SHOULD GET VACCINATED?*
Everyone 6 months and older should get at least one dose of the updated COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine will provide enhanced protection against COVID-19, even if you?ve already been vaccinated, have had COVID-19 or have never been vaccinated against the virus.
Immunity to COVID infections wanes over time and with new variant strains circulating, there is increased potential for infection. The updated vaccine is safe and provides effective protection against severe illness from COVID-19 strains that are circulating now.
Older adults, pregnant people and anyone with underlying or chronic health conditions are more susceptible to severe illness from COVID-19 and should prioritize vaccination.
Check with your health care provider to learn what?s best for you and your loved ones or visit PublicHealth.lacounty.gov/Vaccines [ [link removed] ] for more information.

*GET THE UPDATED VACCINE AT NO COST*
There should be no out-of-pocket costs for the updated COVID-19 vaccine regardless of a person?s insurance or immigration status. Here are three options:
* If you have private insurance, insurers are required under the Affordable Care Act and CARES policy to cover the cost of the new vaccine. * If your uninsured, underinsured or your insurance does not cover COVID-19 vaccine costs, you may be eligible to be vaccinated at no cost to you under the federal Bridge Access Program or Vaccine for Children program. These free vaccines are widely available at pharmacies and other locations.
* If you are uninsured or underinsured, free vaccines are available at Public Health Centers and vaccine distribution centers at Ted Watkins Memorial Park, 1335 E. 103rd, Los Angeles, CA 90002, and Obregon Park, 4021 E. 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90063.
