This isn't what Coloradans want from their representatives. John, Over the weekend, the U.S. House passed a bill to continue funding the federal government at current levels for 45 days. The measure is known as a "Continuing Resolution" (CR) and is a necessary stopgap because the GOP-controlled House is an utterly dysfunctional clown show. While Rep. Doug Lamborn, who represents Colorado Springs and the surrounding area, voted for the CR and for keeping the government open and paychecks going to federal employees and contractors, the other two Republican reps did NOT. Lauren Boebert voted to shut down the government. In Rep. Lamborn's words, a shutdown "hurts our servicemembers, their families, and countless others in Colorado and across the nation." Boebert clearly doesn't care about any of that. Doug Lamborn's election is competitive, which is why he voted to keep the government open. But Boebert is in perhaps the single tightest race in the entire country—and she continues to vote with the extreme wing of her party and court right wing media to raise money. Colorado is tired of Boebert's theatrics (no pun intended)—that's why we need to keep up the pressure to kick her out of Congress once and for all.
