Friends,

I hope you and your family are well! I wanted to provide you with a few updates regarding what’s going on –

On Saturday, the House voted 331-91 to pass a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government for 45 days. I voted NO, just like I voted NO on the last omnibus spending bill, and NO on the CR before that, and NO on the CR before that. As a conservative, I proudly stand with my constituents in demanding we make massive cuts to the budget. Conservatives should always vote against reckless spending and the funding of radical, woke policies like the ones we see from the Biden Administration.

The bill passed this afternoon contains ZERO cuts to government spending and ZERO prohibitions against Biden Administration policies. The only positive about this legislation is that it does not contain the billions in Ukraine supplemental funding Biden requested. This CR is terrible, and I don't see why some of my colleagues think we will get better results 44 days from now than if we stood and fought NOW. We must stop the spending and dangerous Biden Administration policies.

For six months, House leadership has said that we are going to take down Biden's woke policies and fix the border, but they cave when given the chance through appropriations. We are not in a pandemic and should cut our spending back to 2019 levels.

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration's idea of smart spending results in the Department of Health and Human Services giving $800,000 to the El Paso Alliance who distributes crack pipes to drug addicts. That's not how taxpayer money should be spent!

In the next 44 days, I urge my colleagues to make massive budget cuts and stop America's spending problem. The future of America depends on it.

As America is $33 trillion in debt, do you believe Congress should make massive cuts to spending and budget at pre-pandemic levels?
