Right now, Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans are holding an impeachment inquiry designed to retaliate against President Joe Biden for the two impeachments leveled against Donald Trump for the former president’s multiple abuses of power. GOP members of the House Oversight Committee spent six hours last Thursday attempting to prove that Biden has benefitted from his son’s business dealings, with no evidence to show for it.

Yet the real corruption that Congress has failed to address is that committed by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who has violated federal ethics laws, abused his power, and further compromised the integrity of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Tell Congress: Impeach Clarence Thomas, Not Joe Biden.

In his position as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, Thomas has engaged in numerous corrupt actions to protect and advance his own personal interests and those of his wife and his family. He has accepted and failed to disclose his receipt of hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts and other financial benefits from Republican billionaires, including Harlan Crow, Charles Koch, and the late David Koch, whose organizations regularly file briefs in the Supreme Court advocating positions that Thomas reliably adopts. Further, Thomas has refused to recuse himself from matters before the Court in which his wife has had an interest, including her active involvement in attempts to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Through his actions, Justice Thomas has further undermined the impartiality and legitimacy of the Court and violated the public’s trust. The House Judiciary Committee now has a responsibility to begin impeachment proceedings.
