The Center is proud to announce that Women’s Event 2023 will present Lea DeLaria, 3-time SAG Award winning actress, comedian & jazz singer, with the Trailblazer Award. As the first openly gay comic on television in America, Lea is best known as ‘Big Boo’ from Orange is the New Black, and can currently be seen in the indie feature film Potato Dreams of America and the Indigo Girls jukebox feature film, Glitter & Doom.
On Friday, November 3 at 6 p.m. at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, join us as we honor Lea for her longtime dedication and support of The Center, and her continued visibility and advocacy for LGBTQ+ community.
