John,
I'm so excited to see San Franciscans have a say in the early and
decisive portion of the primary process this year. We're going to make
our voices heard across the country in a big way this Tuesday.
But if you're anything like me—you're probably still holding on to
your mail-in ballot, waiting until the last minute to put pen to paper
and make your choices for the Democratic nominee for president.
So, I thought I'd remind you that I'm also on your ballot
this March 3rd!
I'm running for a seat on our local
Democratic County Central Committee, the governing body of our local
party.
As a Supervisor, I worked to pass first-in-the-nation laws on
race and gender equity: from banning retailers from going cashless and
creating a new Office of Racial Equity, to creating a safe parking
program for those living out of their cars and RVs, mandating higher
affordable housing in private developments, and banning the City of
San Francisco from doing business with states that pass abortion
bans.
In my career I've always been committed to
bringing people together, especially new, underrepresented voices into
the political process. And I'm running to bring that same uniting
force to our local party.
I hope I'll earn your vote this March 3rd.
Thank you.
