John, I know firsthand how difficult it is to be a young Muslim candidate in the South.
Muslims like me are often denied a seat at the table, being told we’re “unelectable” because of our identity.
Muslims like me face hateful, Islamophobic attacks, often at the hands of GOP fearmongers.
Muslims like me are fighting tooth and nail to dismantle every roadblock and break down stereotypes so we can be the representatives our marginalized community deserves.
John, we deserve to be represented, not villainized for our identity. That's why I’m running for re-election: to bridge the gap between elected officials and my community. To ensure the voices of Muslims across North Carolina and the South secure a seat at the table.
But to stay in office as a representative who can uplift Muslim voices, I need to have enough funds to win this re-election. And right now, I’m counting on you.
John, I need your grassroots investment today as we fight to secure our spot at the table. Will you please join me and chip in $27 so I can continue being the progressive Muslim leader my community deserves? >>
Fighting together,
Nida Allam
