As Christian Pilgrim leaves the Swamp of Despondency and continues on his trek, the burden on his back only continues to grow. Exhausted and frustrated, he collapses on the path to the Gate, where he would soon be joined by a rather strange man. This Worldly Wiseman has another path in mind for Christian, one that seems easier and is lined with gold and jewels. Will Christian follow the path that Evangelist had set him on? Or will he be lured to another with the promise of an effortless journey?
