Congress narrowly avoided a government shutdown this weekend, when the House passed a 47-day clean funding bill.

However, due to MAGA Republican pushback, the bill did not include necessary funding for Ukraine. This is outrageous. President Joe Biden put it best here:

While the majority of Congress has been steadfast in their support for Ukraine, the bipartisan bill has no funding to continue it.

We can't allow this to be interrupted.

I expect the Speaker to keep his word and secure the passage of support for Ukraine at this critical moment.

Ukraine has been fighting to defend its sovereignty since Vladimir Putin's Russia invaded in February 2022. Russia has weaponized everything from food and energy to abducting children, in a war that has lasted far longer than many had expected.

The people of Ukraine deserve international support against an aggressive, tyrannical neighbor. “If you allow Ukraine to be carved up," asked President Biden at the United Nations, "is the independence of any nation secure?”

Supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression is essential to America’s national security and the safety of democratic values. We cannot let Republican extremists hold up this funding.
