Hi John,

I’m excited to share some great new features we’ve been working on for the last few months! Read about these new features below, and please respond to this email if you have any questions.

Ladder History in Activist Profiles

Many of our partners are running dozens of ladders simultaneously, such as welcome series for different groups of supporters, ladders delivering polling location information to activists, ladders following up on fundraising asks, and much more. To help you keep it all straight, we’ve added Ladder History to activist profiles, showing you the ladder names, dates entered and exited, and if an activist is still in a ladder. Read more about this highly requested feature here.

CSV downloads will be named after the report or action that generated them

Now, instead of downloading CSV files named “csv_report_123456_78910.csv”, the CSV files you generate from actions and reports will be named after the action or report they were generated from and the date they were created. This should make it easier to sort through your downloaded files and match them back to the actions or reports they came from!

Speed Improvements

We know that speed is crucial when running your digital program, and we’ve continued to invest in our infrastructure to speed up your workflows heading into election season. We’ve made a number of speed improvements to email campaigns, ladders, activist profiles, and large network list loading. Check out our release notes for more on these improvements.

Other updates worth noting

  • Helpful for SQL Mirror Users: SQL statements for reports, emails, and filters are now viewable within Action Network’s user interface, allowing you to easily recreate your interface targeting on the mirror. Read more here.

  • Security Upgrade: Hardware keys are now an option for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Hardware keys are unphishable and the best protection for your account, and are highly recommended! Read more here.
  • Bilingual Backend: Translations in the backend of Action Network are complete (for now), allowing you to run your digital program in French, Portuguese, or English with a fully bilingual administrator interface. Thank you to the Canadian Labour Congress for building this feature with us!

As with all our new features, these were chosen, brainstormed, and paid for by our Development Partners at the AFL-CIO, Daily Kos, the DNC, and the Canadian Labour Congress — read more about our cooperative development process here.

Check out our release notes to follow along with what’s new on Action Network.

I’m filling in for Mari on these deploy emails while she’s on parental leave! Have a question or comment? Feel free to reply to this email, and I’ll get back to you.
