Summary: DHS is sharing updates about EVV as the new system continues to roll out in Minnesota. This message includes information about a reduction in the range of the "geofence" boundary for EVV coming in December, as well as a link to an updated list of third-party providers of EVV services.

Summary: DHS received federal approval to allow the use of interactive video for VA/DD-TCM services. Effective May 12, 2023, VA/DD-TCM providers can use interactive video to meet minimum face-to-face contact requirements.

Summary: Effective March 18, 2023, new adult day service, adult foster care and customized living providers cannot bill for waiver services in settings in or adjacent to an institution until approved by DHS and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services through the heightened-scrutiny process.

Summary:?DHS will increase rates for ICF/DD DT&H services by 14.99%, effective Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, to comply with Minn. Stat. ?252.46. The payment rate will change in MMIS automatically, but DHS requires lead agencies, DT&H vendors and ICFs/DD to sign a three-party agreement when there is a rate change or cost-of-living adjustment.

Summary:?DHS is recruiting new members for the EIDBI advisory group, which advises DHS on a health benefit for people younger than age 21 with autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

Summary:?The Southern Minnesota Autism Community Resource Fair will be held on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, in North Mankato. People of all ages and stages of their autism journeys are welcome to attend this public event featuring information on autism and related conditions, resources to help support children and adults on the autism spectrum, interactive sensory activities, giveaways and more.
