Friend,
Countless animals suffering to test the safety of cosmetics need your help right now. Tell Congress to pass the Humane Cosmetics Act and ban horrific cosmetics testing on animals.
Animals used for cosmetics testing, like rabbits, are restrained in order to have chemicals rubbed onto their shaved skin or dripped into their eyes—just to assess the safety of cosmetics like eyeliner and cologne. Pain relief is not provided.
And what happens when the tests end? The animals are killed.
Most people would never buy a tube of lipstick or mascara knowing that an animal had suffered for it. Cosmetics testing on animals is needlessly cruel, and studies show they are not even effective. It is past time for the United States to join the 44 other countries—including Canada and Mexico—that have already banned cosmetics testing on animals. And the more than 1,500 brands in North America that have already made the choice to go cruelty-free.
Humane, effective, non-animal testing methods already exist—and new and innovative cosmetic products can be created from ingredients that are already proven safe.
Animals in labs can’t wait any longer. Take action today and tell your legislators to pass the Humane Cosmetics Act!
Together, we can save innocent animals from this cruelty.
