Look, this headline is just the latest proof we need more LGBTQ+ people on our school boards. In some states, school boards are being threatened by anti-trans extremists who call LGBTQ+-friendly school board members pedophiles, child abusers and predators. They're banning Pride flags and disciplining teachers for hanging them, saying they're too "political, quasi-political or controversial." It's outrageous!
These people are desperate. They know the majority of Americans don't buy into their nonsense. But to drown out their hatred, we need all hands on deck. Every LGBTQ+ school board candidate we elect will work to defend equality, not dismantle it. That's why we have to keep working.
