John, it's Rep. Jim Clyburn, and I'll get right to it:
My colleague, Barbara Lee, is just three points away from qualifying for the general election.
I have no doubt Barbara can win this thing and be the senator we so desperately need. But right now, she's still $7,138 short of her critical midnight fundraising goal – and if we don't help her hit this goal, Rep. Lee runs the risk of falling permanently behind.
That's why I'm reaching out on her behalf. Please, John, will you donate $5 right now to power Barbara's fight for progress? With just hours left to hit her goal, I'm depending on your support to get her there.

For decades, the Democratic Party has used the faces and experiences of Black women to build out their platform. Black women have been critical to the party's success in so many elections and have inspired generations of voters.
But right now, Barbara Lee is the only African American woman running to represent California in the U.S. Senate. Because we can’t expect our government to truly represent us if it doesn't reflect the people it's meant to serve.
I'm certain Barbara can make history and win this race, but with so many other candidates in this race raising MILLIONS, it's going to take a huge outpouring of grassroots support to stand a chance.
John, with just hours left until midnight, will you rush a $5 donation so Barbara can hit her $25,000 midnight goal? With so much competition, she needs every dollar she can raise.
