Last week, I was proud to stand with UAW members at the picket line in Carrollton and in Roanoke.
 

The workers have a simple message: Record profits for companies should mean record wages for employees.

Automakers across the U.S. are making record profits. The head of General Motors earns $29 million per year in compensation. Since 2008, auto workers have not gotten the raises they deserve, while executives have increased their own salaries by over 40%.

In some places, like the Stellantis plant I visited, they don’t even have air conditioning.

These workers deserve more. They deserve fairness. And they deserve better than Ted Cruz, who wants to bamboozle folks into taking jobs for far less money than they should be earning.
