At the end of this month, I will be hosting my annual Virtual Senior Resource Fair. Over three sessions on October 24th, 25th, and 26th, we will explore opportunities for solo agers to make connections and build community, support available to ease the burdens of caregiving, and opportunities to explore and advocate for our natural environment.

Many older adults in the City are solo agers, but that doesn’t mean you have to live a life alone. Learn about resources for solo agers and building community.

Caring For Caregivers

Wednesday, October 25th from 2pm – 3:45pm


According to AARP, there are 2.2 million family caregivers in New York State doing difficult work, often alone. Learn about the impacts caregiver burden has on your physical and mental health, and how to find support.

Nature and the Environment

Thursday, October 26th from 2pm – 3:30pm

 

Learn about the wonderful natural resources we have in New York City, and about caring for our urban environment and advocating for a green planet.

You will have the option of joining the event(s) online through Zoom.


You will also have the option to view the event online through Facebook. Please note that you do not need a Facebook account or profile to view the event through Facebook.


If you do not have access to a computer, tablet, or other electronic device, you can listen in by telephone.


**Once you register for the event, you will receive a confirmation email at least a week before the event with the Zoom and Facebook links, and the call-in information.**
