The House may have been in recess, but Joanna stayed busy! As she gets back to work in Harrisburg, we wanted to share some of our highlights from the last couple of months:
Speaker McClinton joined AFSCME Council 13 members to highlight the need to fill positions throughout the Commonwealth. Staff the Front Lines events are critical to recruiting and retaining essential workers who keep our communities running smoothly. Joanna is proud to support AFSCME and their work to fill critical jobs!
Joanna was thrilled to celebrate Labor Day alongside Governor Shapiro, Democratic Caucus members, and the Allegheny Fayette Labor Council. This was a great opportunity to stand in solidarity with our workers and recommit to our pro-union and pro-worker values!
She also announced a statewide tour of schools to examine education funding and address education inequality. With Speaker McClinton at the helm, House Democrats are committed to improving public education and ensuring every student has the resources to succeed!
