Greater Georgia Newsletter October 2, 2023 Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter! As we approach the Fall season - and with only a few weeks to go until the November 7, 2023 municipal election - we're thrilled to bring you a summary of everything we've been up to in the month of September. In this edition, we'll be spotlighting several of our voter registration drives, our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, some special events, and more. LATEST NEWS Greater Georgia Partners with Georgia Center for Civic Engagement on High School Voter Registration Initiative Last week, Greater Georgia announced an exciting partnership with the Georgia Center for Civic Engagement to bring voter registration drives to high schools across the state. Students in participating high schools will compete to register the greatest number of their peers ahead of the 2023 and 2024 election cycles. To read more about this latest initiative, click HERE. Last Day to Register to Vote: October 10, 2023 The last day to register to vote in the Tuesday, November 7th municipal election is October 10th. Even if you know you're registered to vote, it's a good idea to check that your voter registration is up-to-date before this deadline - especially if you have moved recently. You can check your status or register by visiting www.mvp.sos.ga.gov. If you're interested in hosting a voter registration drive in your community ahead of this deadline, please let us know! EVENTS Voter Registration Drive at VSU September 6, 2023  Greater Georgia started the month out strong with a voter registration drive at Valdosta State University. We had some good conversations with students there about the conservative platform and the importance of making their voices heard. Future Farmers of America Rally in Moultrie September 7, 2023  We continued our South Georgia tour with a big day at the Future Farmers of America Rally in Moultrie. In total, we spoke to more than 200 students from across the state - and registered dozens. We were so inspired by their passion for ag - and their work as the next generation of leaders in Georgia. Training with Glynn County GOP September 9, 2023 To wrap up our South Georgia tour, we joined the Glynn County GOP for a voter registration training. We are so grateful for our local partners - who are working throughout the year to grow the conservative movement, in every corner of the state. Sound of Freedom Screening in Brookhaven September 12, 2023 Back by popular demand, we hosted a second private screening of Sound of Freedom - this time, in Brookhaven. We've been blown away by the response to these events - with dozens joining us to watch the film and learn more about the horrors of human trafficking. This is an issue we'll continue to raise awareness about - as our state leads the fight to eradicate it. Hispanic Heritage Month Registration Event in Norcross September 18, 2023 To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, our team was out at the Norcross Hispanic Heritage Festival registering voters and sharing our conservative message. It was good to meet so many new supporters, learn more about their top concerns, and encourage them to get involved in our elections ahead of 2024. National Voter Registration Day at the Ballpark September 19, 2023 We celebrated National Voter Registration Day with volunteers and supporters at The Battery ahead of a big Braves win over the Phillies! We chatted with dozens of Braves fans, encouraged them to update their voter registrations, and even recruited a few new volunteers. All in all, we'd say we hit it out of the park on National Voter Registration Day! Fireside Chat with Rep. Mesha Mainor in Buckhead September 21, 2023 We also had the honor of co-hosting Rep. Mesha Mainor for a fireside chat with the Buckhead Young Republicans and Blexit. Rep. Mainor, who is Georgia's newest Republican lawmaker, shared her views on the far-Left's radical agenda, the importance of parental choice and public safety, and what the conservative movement should be doing to grow ahead of 2024. Special thanks to Steve Penley for hosting us at his studio, to the state lawmakers who joined us, and to the more than 120 guests who stopped by! Crime is Toast Breakfast September 26, 2023 Finally, Greater Georgia Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler was honored to present an award at last week's Atlanta Police Foundation "Crime is Toast" breakfast.
