Bernie Endorses Jonathan
Presidential Candidate and Democratic frontrunner Sen. Bernie Sanders announces his endorsement of Jonathan Abboud for California's 37th State Assembly Race:
“I’m proud to support these candidates who believe in the power of grassroots organizing and understand that real change comes from the bottom on up, not the top on down.” Sen. Sanders said. “These community leaders will fight for the progressive values and policies California families deserve and together, we are going to build a movement to transform this nation so that it works for all our people.”
Jonathan Abboud has served five years as an elected Trustee for the Santa Barbara City College, placing making education a right, with universal preK & childcare through tuition-free public colleges & trade schools, as his campaign’s biggest platform. Jonathan is the only candidate to call for an end to all new oil & gas production to combat the threat of climate change. He also supports a strong public investment to develop permanently affordable housing and public transportation.
