Should we abolish the Electoral College?
For decades now, many activists have been calling to abolish the Electoral College, the system that actually decides who is elected president.
5 presidents in history, most recently Donald Trump, captured enough Electoral College votes to win the election, but actually lost in the popular vote. In 2016, Hillary Clinton walked away with nearly 3 million more votes than Trump.
Now, elected officials such as Representative Jamie Raskin are speaking up, stating their support for abolishing the Electoral College:
