You may be wondering why it matters that progressive Congressman Andy Kim
stepped up to challenge Robert Menendez in New Jersey's U.S. Senate
Democratic primary in 2024. Here's why:

NEW YORK TIMES: Menendez Indictment Appears to Undercut Claims of
‘Two-Tiered System’ of Justice

Republicans...repeatedly accused Attorney General Merrick B. Garland of
singling out former President Donald J. Trump for selective prosecution,
slamming him for what they call a “two-tiered system” of justice.

Forty-eight hours later, the Justice Department indicted one of the most
powerful Democrats in the Senate — Bob Menendez of New Jersey, the
chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee — on bribery charges, making
public a trove of evidence, including cash and gold bars stashed at his
house.

Banishing Menendez means we have clean hands to prosecute the case against
Trump corruption in the 2024 election.

[ [link removed] ]The political world will be watching Andy Kim's fundraising numbers
after tonight's FEC fundraising deadline to assess if Menendez can be
defeated. If you want to help send a signal that voters oppose corruption,
you can donate to Andy here.

Andy Kim flipped a Trump district in 2018. He served in the Obama State
Department. He is a young dad.

Andy did something courageous. He was the first elected official in NJ to
call for Menendez to resign and then announced he would give up his seat
to run in a primary against a powerful senator who claims he "isn't going
anywhere."

Andy's September 30th fundraising report will be looked at by many donors
and activists as a signal of whether Menendez can be defeated. [ [link removed] ]Early
money to Andy now sends a strong signal that the public supports Andy's
brave move.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
