John, it's Congresswoman Cori Bush – and in a moment, I'm going to ask you to chip in toward Barbara Lee's end-of-quarter fundraiser so she can bring her fight for progress to the Senate.

I've been lucky enough to work with Congresswoman Barbara Lee for the last few years, and I'll tell you this: There's a reason Barbara Lee is often called the "OG progressive."
From being the only candidate in this race to vote against giving President George W. Bush nearly unlimited war powers following 9/11 to being among the first to take up the fight for Medicare for All and the Green New Deal, Barbara Lee has always been ahead of the party on many key progressive issues.
But more than Rep. Lee's progressive record, if we send her to the Senate – where there are currently no Black women serving and only two have served in our nation's history – she will start to bring representation to to the U.S. Senate that Black women deserve.
As a champion for addressing poverty and defending access to public assistance – even someone who was once on public assistance herself – Barbara Lee will be an unwavering fighter for the issues that actually matter to working single mothers like me. She has proven time and time again that she will never be bought by the billionaires that pull the purse strings in Washington, and she'll remain focused on building a country that works for all people.
John, we cannot miss our chance at sending the OG progressive, Barbara Lee, to the Senate. Her team needs to raise at least $250,000 before the quarter ends at midnight tonight to stay on track, and I'm counting on you to help them hit that.
So please, will you rush a donation to Rep. Lee's campaign now to help send her to the Senate? Barbara is up against some tough odds – but I know that she has the experience and the grit to do what it takes to overcome those odds and become our nation's next Black woman senator.
