Rep. Lucy McBath is running for re-election in Georgia's 6th District, in a true "toss-up" seat against her well-funded 2018 opponent former Rep. Karen Handel. If you no longer wish to receive emails you can unsubscribe here. [[link removed]]

John --
You remember certain days in your life more vividly than others. Weddings, birthdays, the day a parent dies -- those days are hard to forget.
I remember the day I became an activist -- December 14, 2012, the day of the Sandy Hook School shooting. I spent that day carefully shielding my then 10 year old daughter from that horrific news when she shocked me by asking “Mommy, did a bunch of little kids get shot today?” It was then that I realized that I was not keeping her or her brother safe from gun violence unless I became involved myself in the fight for common sense gun laws.
By February 14, 2018 -- the day of the Parkland shooting -- my then 15 year old daughter had joined me as an activist, and she was as angry as I was that our politicians had done nothing to prevent yet another tragedy.
It was through my work as a gun safety advocate that I met Lucy McBath.
When I learned about Lucy’s story, and about her son Jordan, I was immediately struck by the gravity with which she talks about her experience, and because of that -- the power she wields for change.
As an actor, I know a powerful story, and a powerful storyteller. That’s Lucy.
So when the Parkland shooting happened two years ago this month, and then when Lucy decided to run for Congress because the political response was inadequate, I was all in.
Two years later, I still am -- which is why I want to ask you, John: Will you join me in supporting Lucy and our gun safety fight today with a grassroots donation of $10 or any amount, so Lucy can meet her February fundraising goal? [[link removed]]

Why do I care about supporting a leader like Lucy McBath, and why should you continue to support her? To donate to her campaign, to volunteer, and to share her story? Because our gun safety fight is quite literally about life and death.
This fight is about my two children, and all of our children. It’s about how, as a mom -- I know their safety isn’t guaranteed at school, on a college campus, in a mall, or a movie theater.
This fight is for the 6,254 Americans who have already died in 2020 due to gun violence. And this fight is about the families whose lives were forever changed two years ago this month in the Parkland school shooting, where 17 died and 17 more were injured.
We need leaders in this fight like Lucy, who can tell their stories to inspire empathy, compassion, and bring about change . She’s already made a huge impact in Congress, and we simply need to keep her there, and get her re-elected.
So, John, will you chip in $10 or any amount right now to help me ensure that we keep Lucy in Congress leading our gun safety fight? [[link removed]]
Thanks for your support of Lucy,
-- Julianne Moore
