EXPANDING OUR IMPACT: BIG DECISIONS TAKES OFF IN DALLAS

We're thrilled to announce the expansion of our Big Decisions curriculum as
we equip all members of our Dallas Educator team for implementation at
multiple North Texas campuses, commencing on November 2nd. This initiative
will reach 13 campuses, benefiting 8th graders through March. By
participating, youth are more likely to avoid unplanned pregnancies due to
increased knowledge and refusal skills. They also gain knowledge about
sexually transmitted infections, consent, and healthy relationships.

Birth rates among Hispanic teens are 2.4x higher than their
White peers. Our LinkedIn Live Event – “Disparities in Teen Birth
Rates for Hispanic Youth,” dives into how structural issues such as
poverty and lack of access to health care and sexual education information
can contribute to teen pregnancy rates.

RSVP and join Healthy Futures of Texas and partners as we discuss what can
be done to address disparities in access to information and resources.
