As this quarter comes to a close, we approach the year-out mark from the second major election since the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

The political landscape today looks drastically different than it did last November. Republican politicians, hellbent on rolling back decades of progress, have passed dangerous and draconian abortion bans. Now, they’re hoping to gain control of Congress so they can pass a national abortion ban.

That's why I'm writing to you today, John. This fight for our fundamental reproductive rights is nowhere near over, and it's one this community was built to tackle head on -- and win.

The founding principle of EMILYs List -- providing early and continued investment in Democratic pro-choice women's campaigns -- is how we've continued to make history in odds-defying races since our inception. Last cycle was no different.

The work of this community was instrumental in helping Democratic pro-choice women expand our Senate majority, flip and defend critical House seats, and win dozens of state and local races across the country. We have our work cut out for us this year with control of the House and Senate up for grabs, but I know we can do it again.
