John, I'll get right to it: I'm going to ask you to split a donation of $10 between me and The Collective PAC to help me defeat Ted Cruz, but first let me tell you why it's so important.
We're just days away from my next public fundraising deadline and my finance director, Lauren, just called me to let me know we're not on track to hit our $450,000 goal.

Listen, CNN says Ted Cruz the most vulnerable Republican in the country, and experts at the Cook Political Report shifted Texas from a "Safe Republican" seat to a "Battleground."
There's no doubt in my mind that we can win this race and send Ted Cruz packing IF we can reach millions of voters across the state.
And I'm not taking a dime from corporate special interests, so I really mean it when I say your grassroots support will make a critical difference in this race. We can't let this opportunity to defeat Ted and build a better Texas slip away.
