Look, we’ve always known that this would be an expensive election to win. The most competitive races always are. My extremist Republican opponent Mark Robinson has spent years building up funds — and he’ll receive an influx of cash from national GOP groups to use against us.

We all know too well that North Carolina is a toss-up state. Our election could come down to a handful of votes. We can’t come up short on Election Day because we didn’t have the resources to conduct the voter outreach efforts we’ve planned.
