I don’t want to interrupt your Saturday evening, but I just got an urgent update from my campaign team.

Our public FEC end-of-quarter deadline is just hours away, and we’re still $6,712 short of our goal. That means we need a huge surge of support between now and midnight to reach our target.

We’re hurtling towards a Republican government shutdown, and we won’t get a better opportunity to prove that we’re ready to hold the GOP accountable if we come up short tonight.

Will you stand with me and pitch in $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you to help reach our end-of-quarter goal before our fundraising numbers go public?

As Minnesota’s only member of the House Committee on Appropriations, I’m fighting hard for robust funding to create good-paying American jobs, grow opportunities for the middle class, and make historic investments in fighting climate change. 

But the House GOP has other plans. They’re holding the government hostage in order to force cruel cuts to critical government programs on the American people – from Head Start to Meals on Wheels to nutrition aid for pregnant mothers.

We cannot let the House GOP play political games with people’s lives and get away with it. When our fundraising numbers are made public tomorrow, the headline needs to read: “Democrats show overwhelming strength ahead of next year’s crucial elections.”

But that won’t happen if we come up short tonight, team. If you’re able, please rush a donation that works for you tonight so we can make up the difference, reach our goal, and end the Republican chaos in Washington.
