Yesterday was one of New York City’s wettest days on record in a decade.^1
Flash floods and other bad weather are especially dangerous for our
delivery workers because they often have to go to work. They don’t get
paid a minimum wage.
Uber, DoorDash, and GrubHub filed a lawsuit so they wouldn’t have to pay
delivery workers a livable wage. And while NYC courts ruled in favor of
delivery workers (just this week!) there’s still a long way to go before
these workers get paid the wage they deserve.
