I know our team has sent you a lot of emails in the past week about our FEC quarterly deadline. In 11 hours, the clock will strike midnight and we will report the last three months of our fundraising for the public -- including Mike Garcia and the national GOP -- to see.

I am proud of the progress we have made in our grassroots campaign. We recently received endorsements from leaders like former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Adam Schiff, and Rep. Eric Swalwell. Local labor and environmental organizations are standing behind our movement.

While Garcia is playing a part in forcing a government shutdown, we are connecting with hundreds of voters on the ground.

While Garcia is trying to better himself by voting for a $8,000 pay raise for Congress, we are listening to people struggling in our community.

I hope this much is clear: If I am elected to Congress, I will be a true representative by and for the people -- not trying to get a leg up for me and my party like Mike Garcia.
