Good morning, John. I am reaching out this weekend to make sure you didn’t miss your chance to make a world of difference for the autism community this month.
In fact, you can make twice the impact that you normally would because, until midnight tonight, every donation to Autism Speaks will be generously matched by one of our supporters, up to $25,000. This dollar-for-dollar match is extremely impactful to our work, and it’s why I am reaching out personally today.
According to our records, you haven’t made your first donation to our organization. To be blunt, John, now’s a great time to do it — your 2X matched gift means twice the compassionate support for autistic kids and adults, twice the pioneering research, twice the employment assistance and so much else. Will you give before the midnight deadline?
Below, you’ll see a photo of me and my son, who has autism. He makes me proud every day, and I try to make him proud every day. Though not every day is an easy one, our family made the firm commitment to never give up, and to always be there for each other.
I’ve seen the same persistence, strength and love in so many individuals and families in our Autism Speaks community. But sometimes giving your “all” to an autism diagnosis — even with the full support of family and friends — still doesn’t feel like “enough.” Many autistic people and their caregivers lack even fundamental access to information, services or someone knowledgeable and kind to listen to them.
Autism Speaks is here to help these people and families, every minute of every day. That’s the basis of our mission work — to help as many folks as possible reach their potential and live their best lives. From our tailored support offered through the Autism Response Team, to connecting families with early diagnosis and intervention tools, to helping autistic young adults like my son, AJ, transition to adulthood — to supporting lifelong well-being — we’re here to help.
John, today is the LAST day of our September dollar-for-dollar match. Your first gift has the opportunity to go twice as far, so please, donate to see your generosity have DOUBLE the impact.
Remember, the deadline is midnight tonight!
Thank you so much,
Keith Wargo
