Hey there, it's Ruben again.

I had to make a pretty difficult decision earlier yesterday, and I thought you should know about it.

First, we’ve got our FEC deadline today. A big day for any campaign. But we’ve also got the looming prospect of Kari Lake and her campaign announcement — reported to come next month, right after this critical deadline. And Kyrsten Sinema threw a big high dollar fundraiser yesterday, where she probably pulled in a few hundred thousand dollars from her billionaire pals. She’s getting ready.

We can’t get ambushed here. Anything can happen right now.

Without saying too much, there are a number of investments we have to make in order to be prepared. Because if our opponents get the jump on us, we’re cooked. Game over.

The money wasn't in the budget to make those investments, but I gave the green light, even though we are short of our FEC deadline goals. A deadline that ends tomorrow.

I’m banking on the fact that telling you this will convince you to help us fill the gap.
