We're writing today to ask if you can make a $10 contribution to Elissa Slotkin's campaign for Senate before our FEC fundraising deadline comes to a close tonight.

Why $10 specifically?

$10 because Michigan is going to be one of the most expensive and competitive Senate races of the cycle.

$10 because, as of this month, we’re likely to face a tough Republican opponent.

$10 because when this FEC fundraising deadline ends, we're legally required to report exactly how much money we've raised. So both friends and competitors will be watching what we report – and since this is our first report since our Republican opponent got in the race, everyone will be looking to see how we stack up.

$10 because Elissa doesn’t take corporate PAC money and is relying on individuals like you to chip in a few bucks at a time.

It may not seem like $10 can make a huge difference in one of the most competitive and expensive Senate races in the country, but by the time you get to this point in the email, a few folks have already made their donation.
