The wave of anti-transgender bills is motivating trans people to run for office -- LGBTQ Nation
John, it's true. The brutal wave of anti-trans bills sweeping the country had one upside: trans people are running for public office. And given the national rise of transphobia, it's more important than ever to elect out them. After all, these amazing leaders are working tirelessly - today and everyday - so that everyone in our community is treated with dignity and respect.
Our current political climate is incredibly hostile to trans people. But despite the harmful environment, these candidates bravely stepped up to run. Pitch in today to help them win AND expand trans representation up and down the ballot!

State legislatures are breaking records for anti-trans legislation. Over 530 anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced this year. 148 of them target gender-affirming care, 80 of them are "Don't Say Gay" copycats and 58 of them target trans kids playing sports. 68 anti-LGBTQ bills were enacted.
These trans candidates will work tirelessly to repeal these bills - and defend our rights. We know that when they win their campaigns, they're going to step up and fight back for all of us. That's why we're sending them reinforcements. Donate today to elect more amazing trans candidates and ensure trans people have a seat at the table!
