Hi Johh — As September comes to a close, I wanted to send you a quick note to remind you that our end-of-quarter deadline is tonight.
Today is the final day before our government enters a shutdown because of the disastrous leadership of the Republicans and I want you to know that it didn't have to come to this. Funding our government is a matter of protecting the livelihoods of our federal employees and keeping critical services running. But once again, Kevin McCarthy and the GOP have blatantly chosen to put their agenda over what's best for this country.
Throughout my time in office, I've always fought for working families. I'm committed to keep fighting for you in Congress — no matter what House Republicans throw at me. But it's never been clearer that progress will only happen when we get these people out of office.
Next year's election will decide the Congressional majority. Reaching our goal by today's end-of-quarter deadline will help us send the message to any opponents and the rest of the country that we are ready to take back the House and show the world what real leadership looks like.
Today, my team told me that we're not where we need to be to reach our goal in time for the FEC reporting deadline, and with just a few hours remaining until midnight, I need your help.
