There's only a few hours left in our Fall 2023 Drive for the bees.
At Environment Colorado, we're working toward a better future for bees of all stripes. We envision fields and gardens free from bee-killing pesticides. We imagine new bee habitats planted along almost every road, restoring some of the places bees have lost. And we dream of saving endangered bees that are on the brink of extinction.
We want the buzz of the bees to grow louder as their numbers bounce back, but we have our work cut out for us to make these hopes our reality.
To reach this bee-friendly future, we'll need to educate the public, persuade massive corporations and get our elected officials to care about the bees. Not to mention the work we need to do to take on the big chemical companies that make lots of money making bee-killing pesticides.

Pesticides destroy the basic functions a bee needs to survive. Shaking and unable to walk in a straight line, bees face a slow march to death if they can't collect food, find their homes or communicate with their friends.[1]
We're working to protect bees from these toxic, deadly pesticides and we need your help. Today is the final day of our Fall 2023 Drive, and we're running out of time to meet our goal of $30,000.

Neonicotinoids attack bees' brains and affect their motor function.
Once it's exposed to pesticides, a bee can't walk, dance or fly like it needs to. Uncoordinated and stumbling, bees can't communicate with their signature waggle dance if they're poisoned.[2]
Their tiny wings usually work hard to carry pollen from flower to hive, but as pesticides infiltrate their nervous systems, bees fall down on the job. They can't navigate and find their way back home. And pesticides can eventually paralyze their little bodies.[3]
It's devastating.
With bees dying at an alarming rate, we need swift action to stop the worst uses of deadly neonicotinoids.
We rely on bees as critical pollinators, but they're relying on us to fight for their survival by ending the scourge of bee-killing pesticides.
That's why we're calling on major national companies to take bee-killing pesticides off the shelves. Environment Colorado already helped convince Lowe's to commit to no longer sell neonicotinoids. Now, we're calling on The Home Depot to stop selling bee-killing pesticides.
